Best Buy Secret Santa

Served as a development partner with CPB to develop this Facebook application for the 2009 holiday season.

Users could log in with their Facebook account, create a game, invite their friends, pair up with users on the deadline date, and tell their friends what they bought.

The application also included a guessing game that allowed users to guess who bought whom what.



Miss Universe / USA / Teen USA

Built in three months on the CakePHP framework, the new application handled millions of visitors during the 2009 television broadcast of Miss USA.

Miss Universe staff received a custom-built administration interface that allowed them to manage site content and feel the heartbeat of the Miss Universe online community. Users could create accounts and vote in polls, rate photos and videos, and participate in other community-building activities.



MTV Engine Room

MTV Engine Room was a web-based reality show broadcast weekly over the course of two months. The site allowed users to upload artwork in the form of static/img, video, and audio. Users could rate one another's work, and the audience favorites were awarded prizes each week.

Taken on as a hobby project, this combined the CakePHP framework with the Amazon e-commerce system to allow gamers to share their favorite games and swap them with others.

Users could create lists of games they own, lists of games they wished to purchase, and indicate games that they wanted to swap.
